Hey readers! The first I'm going to make on the topic of competitive battling is going to be on Abomasnow. Before I begin, just a disclaimer. I am not going to base my strategies on the REAL (Pokemon Video Game Competition) or VGC. I made this for you to try on your friends, the competitions really limit how much fun you can have. So without further ado, let's begin!

Abomasnow is a Grass/ Ice type Pokemon. So as you can see from the stats, Abomasnow seems to be an actually pretty good mixed attacker, with decent HP and Defense, and really low speed. Alot of people don't really use Abomasnow at all in battle because of it's 4X weakness to FIRE. It also hurts Abomasnow that it doesn't have enough Defense to help it out when it gets hit by a Fire type move. Abomasnow also has poor Speed, so it can't out-speed very much Pokemon out there. But Abomasnow has an awesome move-pool, and you have a variety of attacks to choose from, making it an awesome offensive Pokemon, that can take down any Defensive opponents with ease.

Let me explain why this would be such a great move set to use for Abomasnow. Blizzard is the strongest move that Abomasnow that can learn, so that in itself is a good reason for Abomasnow to know it. Giga Drain is good one to know because it restores the health that Abomasnow will lose rather quickly, and it's super effective against one of Abomasnow's weaknesses, Ground. It's also a good STAB move as well. Earthquake will be used to take out it's #1 weakness, Fire. Ice Shard is just a good STAB/Coverage move.
